DAY 01: Hanoi Arrival (-/-/-)

Welcome to Vietnam! A driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel for check-in. Settle in and then explore Hanoi, Vietnam's frenetic capital. Wander tree-shaded avenues lined with a mix of temples and French colonial buildings contrasted with modern, glassy malls. Sample street food in the labyrinthine streets of the Old Quarter or take a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake.

DAY 02: Hanoi City Tour (B/L/-)

We have a full day to visit the capital of Vietnam Hanoi, known for its tree-lined streets, colonial architecture, and vibrant culture. Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex and his stilt house, followed by Tran Quoc Pagoda. Discover the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university (1076), and the Ethnological Museum. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the Old Quarter, then savor Egg Coffee or tea at a local café while chatting with Hanoians.

DAY 03: Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc - Hanoi (B/-/-)

In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, meet your tour guide and driver, then travel to Hoa Lu – the former capital of Vietnam, which is about two hours away from Hanoi. On arrival, we visit two temples, one of which is dedicated to Emperor Dinh and the other in memory of Emperor Le, followed by a brief visit to the remains of the Old Palace.

Have lunch at a local restaurant, then we will leave for Tam Coc which is "three caves" in English, where we will get on a small rowing boat to discover the karst waterscape on the Ngo Dong River in around 1.5 hours. We will be rowing along a gentle river between paddy fields. This site is adorned with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites of all sizes shaped like gemstones. While rowing the boat, enjoy the peaceful scenery of rice paddies lining the river bank.

After the boat trip to Tam Coc, if time permits, we will transfer to Bich Dong pagoda for a visit. Lastly, we return to Hanoi overnight.

DAY 04: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Distance: ~ 180km, ~ 3-hour drive (depending on traffic)

Today, head East to Halong Bay - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Board a junk, which is an iconic traditional type of boat in Asia to cruise through the bay with 3000 stunning limestone resembling magnificent creatures. Free to immerse in the outstanding scenic beauty or engage in various activities. The trip can’t be completed without an overnight onboard.

DAY 05: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Danang – Hoi An (B/BR/-)

Enjoy miraculous sunrise over the islets of the Bay. The boat will take us to go about marvelous areas. Then it’s back to the boat and cruise to Halong Port arriving around noon. Back to Noi Bai Airport for a short flight to Danang. Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at Danang airport to transfer to Hoian.

Overnight in Hoian.

DAY 06: Hoian - Biking Through Countryside – Hoian Ancient Town (B/-/-)

Hoi An is a charming, traditional town rich in history and culture. Begin the day with a bicycle tour—the best way to explore the area—riding through the old district, crossing the river by sampan, and visiting families skilled in boat and woodcraft.

Return to Hoi An for an afternoon tour of the ancient town, exploring its remarkable relics. Visit the 200-year-old Tan Ky house, the Tran family chapel, the central fish market, and the Hoi An Traditional Handicrafts Center, where you can observe silkworms at various stages of growth. Stop by iconic landmarks like the Japanese Bridge and Fu Kien Temple, then join a lantern-making workshop to craft your own souvenir to take home.

DAY 07: Hoian – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City – Street Food Tour (B/-/D)

Afternoon we transfer to Danang airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Pick up and transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight in HCMC.

18:00: The tour guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby for an amazing tour. The “Saigon by Night” tour is one of the most fun things to do in Vietnam at night and offers a completely different experience than our day tours. We’ll take you to 4 of the most popular local districts in Saigon that most tourists don’t frequent. Here, you'll try some delicious Vietnamese street food!

  • Enjoy Vietnamese pancakes and spring rolls at a real local vendor. Learn about the history and also the special significance of each dish.
  • Try authentic noodles (Bun Bo Hue, Pho, Hu Tieu or Banh Canh) while discovering the stories behind Vietnam’s beloved noodle dishes.
  • Coffee time, we will sit down to taste coffee in the hidden coffee shop and learn how to make a cup of good coffee with a filter.
  • Desserts time! Try Vietnamese sweet desserts, leaving you with a delightful final impression of the country’s cuisine.

21:30: We will drive you back to your hotel. Tour ends.

DAY 08: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels – Half-day City Tour (B/-/-)

Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, where you'll become a true explorer as you crawl underground for a firsthand glimpse into guerrilla life during the Vietnam War. Be ready for a dark and sweaty experience you might never go through before! 

Back in Saigon, explore the Independence Palace, a symbol of Vietnam’s victory with its grand architecture and lavish interiors. Continue to Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office, stunning examples of French colonial design. End the tour at Ben Thanh Market, a lively shopping spot known for its diverse selection of goods.

Return to Saigon for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 09: Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B/-/-)

You will be picked up from your hotel and travel to Ben Tre. Upon arrival at Ham Luong Pier, board a boat along the Ben Tre River, passing mangrove trees and bustling market scenes. Stop at a brickwork factory to see traditional brick-making, then cruise through the Cai Son canal in the coconut jungle. Visit a coconut workshop to observe the manual processing of coconuts.

Continue along the waterways to a coconut candy workshop, where you can watch the candy-making process, sample sweets, and enjoy local music. Walk to a farmer’s house to see how sleep mats are made, then ride a tuk-tuk through the coconut grove. After lunch at a local restaurant, relax on a rowing boat ride along the canal before being dropped off at the local market or An Thạnh Pier. Finally, drive to Can Tho for an overnight stay.

DAY 10: Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City – Flight to Siem Reap (B/-/-)

Early in the morning, visit Cai Rang floating market, one of the most bustling floating markets in the Mekong Delta. Watch boats carrying fruits and vegetables travelling back and forth. Then, we will take a short walk through an orchard and visit a vermicelli factory. The day will continue with a visit to Binh Thuy's old house where the film adaptation of Marguerite Duras' novel L' Amant was filmed in 1992.

Then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City for the departure flight to Siem Reap.

DAY 11: Siem Reap – Angkor Temple Complex (B/-/-)

After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide at 8:00 AM to explore Angkor Thom, entering through the South Gate with its massive statues. Visit the Bayon Temple, known for its 200 smiling faces, then continue to Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King.

Discover the iconic Angkor Wat, a 12th-century masterpiece spanning 81 hectares, renowned for its five towers symbolizing Mount Meru. End the day with a sunset view from Phnom Bakheng.

In the evening, explore Siem Reap’s Night Market and Pub Street, filled with dining, entertainment, and relaxation options. Enjoy dinner at your leisure before an overnight stay in Siem Reap.

DAY 12: Siem Reap – Banteay Srei - Tonle Sap Lake (B/-/-)

After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Banteay Srei Temple. It is built largely of red sandstone, which is covered with elaborate and deeply carved decoration. The buildings themselves are miniature in scale. These factors have made the temple extremely popular with tourists, and have led to its being widely praised as a "precious gem", or the "jewel of Khmer art". After that continue our day by visiting Pre Rup temple which has an excellent view of the surrounding countryside.

Then we will enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake at Kampong Phluk village. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into the Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen's "floating village" with floating schools, a floating police station, etc. It is the same as a big village floating on the lake, and the "village" moves from place to place following water levels and current.

DAY 13: Siem Reap Departure (B/-/-)
