Itinerary

DAY 01 : HANOI ARRIVAL

Arrive in Hanoi and You’ll be warmly greeted at Hanoi airport and transferred to the hotel. If time permits, take an orientation tour and a chance to acclimatize ourselves. 

Overnight in Hanoi.

Hotel check-in time: 14.00 pm.

DAY 02: HANOI – HA LONG (B, L, D)

Leave Hanoi and travel east to Halong Bay, one of Vietnam’s most picturesque and iconic destinations. Board a beautiful junk and spend a full day and night cruising the bay's 3000 magnificent limestone islets. In the afternoon, enjoy some visits and/or activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on board. An overnight boat trip is the best way to enjoy this Vietnamese must-see.

DAY 03: HA LONG – HANOI – FLIGH TO HUE (B, Brunch)

Enjoy miraculous sunrise over the islets of the Bay. The boat wil take us to go about marvelous areas. Overland to Hanoi airport for onward flight to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. Its mesmerising tombs and mausoleums of the last emperors of Vietnam reveal fascinating insights into the lives of the imperial families and their subjects.

DAY 04: HUE CITY TOUR (B)

Following the breakfast, take a morning cruise on the serene Perfume River to Thien Mu and explore this sacred pagoda. Continue to the former Imperial Citadel and take full advantage of this World Heritage Site. Afternoon, visit a typical Hue garden house typical, the impressive tomb of former Emperor Tu Duc, and a village that crafts traditional conical hats. For a joyful day to be complete, sample Hue’s distinctive cuisine and folk music.

DAY 05: HUE – HOI AN (B)

Depart Hue and travel southwards to Hoi An, stopping en route to unwind atop the breathtaking Pass of Ocean Clouds and visiting the fascinating Cham Museum. In Hoian we’ll be on foot to explore the charming and wonderfully preserved ancient quarter that retains Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and European influences from its old glory being a major seaport in Southeast Asia. In addition to the historic architectures, the area offers excellent shopping opportunities.

DAY 06: HOI AN COUNTRYSIDE (B, L)

After breakfast at the hotel. Take a morning bike ride through the rural scenery of Hoi An to a small vegetable planting village located on the banks of Tra Que lagoon. Tra Que village has been known for its special aromatic herbs. Join local people in their daily works of planting and watering vegetables. Then learn to cook some local specialties. Enjoy what we have done for lunch.

DAY 07: HOI AN – DA NANG – FLIGHT TO SAIGON (B)

Transfer to Da Nang Airport after breakfast for the short flight to dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by the locals. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon, visit the most outstanding sights in the very centre of Saigon: the Reunification Palace, the War Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, the City Hall, Ben Thanh Market, etc.

DAY 08: SAIGON – CU CHI – SAIGON (B)

After breakfast, you will be met by your private guide and driven to Cu Chi, a small community located northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, known for its network of deep tunnels that provided shelter and an effective source of infiltration for the Viet Cong during the later years of the Vietnam War. Return to Saigon, free at your own leisure or take an optional Vespa Tour (payable).

DAY 09: SAIGON – MEKONG – SAIGON (B)

Leave for Ben Tre. There takes a walk along the waterfront, line with French era shops and house, before cruising on the Mekong River. visit one of the many coconut processing workshops and watch how the local open coconuts by hand (coconut husking) before cruising along the canals to a coconut candy workshop. Get a chance to learn all about the coconut candy making process. Taste honey harvested by the residents and the different kinds of tropical fruits. Cruise along local creeks through the villages to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside.

Back to Saigon for overnight.

DAY 10: SAIGON – DEPARTURE (B)

Departure day. At leisure until transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for onward flight.
